Joan Sneddon-Ashurst is the daughter of a successful real estate developer in Grand Junction, Colorado. Joan's father, (Max Senior), came to this country from Scotland in the early 1900's and came through Ellis Island and made New York his home for many years. Max was part of the crew, working on the Rockefeller Center, as it was built and helped put up the very first Christmas tree in the Center.
